Write for digitPro Magazine

Share ideas, perspectives and work worth discovering

digitPro Magazine welcomes contributions from writers, thinkers, creatives, academics and industry professionals with something interesting to say.

Our interests have evolved considerably since digitPro first began publishing articles. Today, the magazine sits at the intersection of creativity, culture, technology, design, music, media and contemporary business — with a particular interest in original thinking and the ways these fields influence one another.

We are interested in articles that inform, question, explore or introduce a perspective our readers may not have encountered before.

Before submitting an article

Please spend some time exploring digitPro Magazine before sending us your work. Understanding the character of the magazine and the subjects we publish will give you a much better idea of whether your article is a good fit.

If you have an idea but are unsure how it might work within digitPro, you are welcome to contact us before writing. Tell us briefly what you would like to explore and what you hope the article will achieve.

What we are interested in

We are particularly interested in thoughtful contributions relating to:

  • Creativity, art and design
  • Music, poetry and contemporary culture
  • Digital culture and emerging technology
  • Artificial intelligence and its creative applications
  • Advertising, branding and communication
  • Media and changing forms of storytelling
  • Business, entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Leadership and management
  • Marketing and consumer behaviour
  • Cultural and social observations
  • Essays, commentary and informed opinion
  • Creative projects and unusual collaborations
  • Practical articles based on genuine professional experience

This list is deliberately broad. A strong idea that fits the spirit of digitPro may be more interesting to us than an article that simply fits neatly into a category.

Why contribute?

Publishing with digitPro gives writers an opportunity to share their knowledge and ideas with an established audience while building a visible body of published work.

Contributors receive an author biography alongside their article and may include an appropriate link to their professional website, portfolio or organisation.

For professionals, researchers and creatives, a good article can demonstrate expertise far more effectively than promotional copy. We therefore encourage contributors to concentrate on ideas and substance rather than self-promotion.

Editorial standards

We are looking for writing that has a clear point of view, provides genuine value to the reader and feels appropriate for digitPro Magazine.

As a general guide:

  • Articles should normally be 600–1,600 words
  • Submissions should be original and not plagiarised
  • Writing should have a clear purpose and be useful, informative or thought-provoking
  • Claims, quotations and research should be properly attributed
  • Excessive promotional links will be removed
  • Articles written primarily for SEO or backlink generation will not be accepted
  • Relevant images are welcome, provided you own the rights or have permission to use them
  • AI may be used as a writing or research tool, but submissions should represent the author’s own ideas, knowledge and judgement
  • We reserve the right to edit accepted articles for clarity, presentation, style and consistency

Longer and more substantial pieces may also be considered where the subject genuinely requires greater depth.

Thought leadership, not advertorial

There is an important distinction between sharing expertise and disguising advertising as editorial content.

We welcome articles from businesses and professionals when they offer genuine knowledge, experience, analysis or an interesting perspective. We do not publish sales copies presented as independent editorial.

A contributor biography provides an appropriate place to explain who you are, what you do and where readers can find more information about your work.

If the primary objective is to promote a company, product, service or campaign, please contact us separately to discuss appropriate promotional or collaborative opportunities.

Links and SEO

Good articles should be written for people first.

Relevant references and links may be included when they genuinely help the reader understand the subject or support a claim. We discourage unnecessary links inserted primarily for search-engine optimisation.

You are welcome to consider basic SEO principles — including a clear title, descriptive headings and natural use of relevant terminology — but editorial quality always takes priority over keyword density.

digitPro reserves the right to edit or remove external links.

Submission and editorial review

Submitting an article does not automatically guarantee publication. Every contribution is reviewed for relevance, originality, editorial quality and suitability for digitPro Magazine.

Where we believe an article has potential but requires minor changes, we may contact the author with editorial suggestions before publication.

Become a regular contributor

We are particularly interested in developing ongoing relationships with writers whose ideas and work complement the direction of digitPro Magazine.

Writers who contribute consistently strong material may be invited to become regular contributors, collaborate on future editorial projects or contribute to special features and collections.

Rather than simply building a large network of guest writers, our aim is to develop a diverse group of interesting voices — people with knowledge, curiosity and something genuinely worth sharing.

If that sounds like you, we would be pleased to hear from you.
