The British Iranian Business Association (BIBA) was founded by Babak Emamian in 1994 in recognition of a widely acknowledged need to provide a forum for British-Iranian Business and professional men and women living in the UK to meet and create business contacts and opportunities. Also, to promote the British-Iranian business community in the UK.
The formula for its growth and success was rather simple. It began with holding meetings that focused on marketing strategies and business development. There are now over 5,000 professionals and businesspeople affiliated with BIBA. BIBA annually organises several specialised and two general meetings. In total, they have organised 163 business meetings. BIBA’s journal, British Iranian Business News (BIBN) has a readership of 20,000.
BIBA also provide consultation and business forecast to British and European companies related to Iran’s market and its impact on UK and global market in the area of:
- Iran turmoil impacts currencies, energy sector, defence spending, tourism, shipping, international trade, sanctions, regulations, economy etc.
BIBA’s team is mainly network of international business contacts rather than academics or diplomats. BIBA have been offering forecast and analysis since 1998 to news media outlets such as BBC, Sky News, Alarabiya, Al Haddath, Aljazeera, Fox News, TRT, VoA, etc.
