Ensure that your audio is crisp and clear when producing your videos. Try to limit background noise such as televisions or children. If your videos contain background sounds, your viewers will attribute your videos to be shabby and useless. Avoid this by finding a quiet place with no noise in the background.

It is important that you maintain a sense of humour and don’t take yourself too seriously. Keeping your video funny will help people to be able to relate to it. Making people happy will help them to relate that feeling to your business and more readily trust your products or services.

Don’t forget to include keywords in the filename of your video! Google may index that too, and some sites where you upload your video will include it on the page. Include a few main keywords to ensure your video gets seen by your target audience who may be searching for it.

Find the best sites to post your video to. While everyone knows about YouTube, there are many other sites that might be right for your video. Look into what sites are related to your business and post your video to these sites. Most should be free to you and if they do charge make sure it is worth your while.

How you sound on your video is as important as how you look. Is your voice wavering? Do you sound unsure of yourself? Do you say “um” or “like” a lot? Try to sound natural without seeming like a robot. If you can’t pull it off, ask someone else to be in the video.

When posting a video on your website, surround it with descriptive text so Google knows what the video is about. You don’t have to provide a transcript, although that can be helpful as well, but you should give at least a short blurb about what the video discusses without giving away the juicy bits.

If you are new to video marketing, don’t worry too much about the equipment you are using. You do not need a professional television or movie camera to do video marketing. A simple camera will work just fine, as long as it can deliver good quality digital videos. A webcam is never a good idea for video marketing.

When you’re posting videos using WordPress, check out video sitemap extensions which allow you to easily add the new video to your current video sitemap. Without such a sitemap, Google won’t index your videos and therefore viewers who are searching for them will never be lucky enough to find them.

Interviews make great videos. Have a friend or a colleague interview you if you want to give some details about your business and products or interview some customers if you want to share some original reviews of your products. If possible, find an expert in your field who is willing to be interviewed on your products.

Utilize captions and annotations within your videos. They have to be used properly though. Poor captions and annotations can distract the viewer from your content, so breaks in the video are excellent areas to use them. Occasionally using an annotation while you are speaking in a video is acceptable, as long as it does not distract the viewer from what you are saying.

Find a quality video editing software and learn how to use it. Your videos will be a lot better if you can cut the parts your viewers do not need to see and can smoothly transition from one segment to the next. Keep your videos short, well-structured and do your best to keep your audience interested.

There is a great deal of promise that video marketing can bring to a business. Lots of business owners realize this, but they are missing one key element needed to use video marketing.
