About Ghazal Tajbakhsh
Ghazal Tajbakhsh is an Iranian poet and writer, born in Borujerd in 1942. Her literary life has extended across poetry, writing and cultural activities, with poetry remaining at the heart of her creative work. She has written in several poetic forms and has also been involved in nurturing Iran’s literary community through the Ghazal Literary Association, which she helped establish in Tehran in the early 1980s.
Her poetry often carries a strong emotional connection to love, nature, memory, hope and the passage of time. Her work brings together intimate personal feeling with vivid images of seasons, flowers, light and the human heart.
